Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 12, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of ChicagoFirstDates.com and your purchase of or participation in any event offered under the Chicago First Dates name (referred to below as “Chicago First Dates,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this website, buying a ticket, or attending one of our events, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. What We Provide

Chicago First Dates organizes in-person speed dating and singles events throughout Chicagoland, including events in and around downtown Chicago, the North Side, Schaumburg, Rolling Meadows, and other locations. Our role is to arrange the event, establish its format, and create an opportunity for eligible participants to meet one another.

We are not an online dating service, and we do not perform background checks, investigate participants, verify every statement made by an attendee, or guarantee anyone's identity, intentions, compatibility, relationship status, character, or conduct. Each participant is responsible for deciding whether, when, and how to communicate with or meet another person after an event.

2. Eligibility and Registration

You must satisfy the age range and any other eligibility requirements stated for the event you select. The information you provide during registration must be accurate and must belong to you. A ticket may not be transferred to another person unless Chicago First Dates approves the transfer in advance.

We may refuse a registration, cancel a ticket, or deny admission when we reasonably believe that doing so is necessary to protect attendees, enforce these terms, preserve the intended format of an event, or prevent fraud, disruption, harassment, or misuse of our services.

3. Arrival and Event Schedule

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the advertised event time so that check-in and instructions can be completed. Starting times may shift while attendees are checked in, seating is arranged, or the event format is explained. A delay of this kind does not qualify a participant for a refund or credit.

If you arrive late, we may admit you only if doing so will not interfere with the event. Late arrival may reduce the number of introductions available to you and does not extend the event or create a right to a refund, credit, or make-up date.

4. Minimum-Introductions Credit

If you attend as scheduled and Chicago First Dates is unable to introduce you to at least six eligible participants during the event, we will provide a low-turnout promotional code that may be used to register for a future Chicago First Dates event at no additional ticket charge. This is an event credit, not a cash refund.

The credit does not apply when the reduced number of introductions results from a participant's late arrival, early departure, refusal to participate, removal for misconduct, or failure to follow event instructions. Any code issued under this policy is subject to the availability, eligibility requirements, and stated expiration date of the replacement event.

5. Matches and Contact Information

After an event, participants may identify the people they would like to hear from again. When two participants select each other, Chicago First Dates may provide each person with the contact information supplied by the other for that purpose. By submitting your selections, you authorize this limited exchange with your mutual matches.

A match reflects only the selections submitted after the event. It is not a representation, endorsement, compatibility finding, or promise that either person will communicate, meet again, or begin a relationship. Chicago First Dates is not responsible for communications, meetings, transactions, disputes, relationships, injuries, or other events that occur between participants during or after an event, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

6. Participant Conduct

Attendees must treat other participants, venue employees, hosts, and staff respectfully. Harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse, unwanted physical contact, aggressive behavior, intoxication that disrupts the event, solicitation, recording without permission, and conduct that makes others reasonably feel unsafe are prohibited.

Wear attire appropriate for a social event and comply with any dress requirements stated on the event page or imposed by the venue. We may remove or refuse entry to anyone who violates these standards or disrupts the event. When admission is denied or a participant is removed for misconduct, no refund or credit is required.

7. Event Format and Participation

Event details, including the venue, host, schedule, age range, number of attendees, and rotation format, may change when reasonably necessary. Attendance varies, and the number or characteristics of participants shown or anticipated before an event are not guaranteed.

Our events are offered as social entertainment and an opportunity to meet people in person. We do not promise that you will receive a mutual match, obtain anyone's contact information, go on a future date, or form any particular kind of relationship.

8. Cancellations, Credits, and Refunds

Requests must be submitted through the contact method listed on ChicagoFirstDates.com. Chicago First Dates may make exceptions at its discretion, but an exception in one situation does not require us to make the same exception in another.

If Chicago First Dates cancels an event, we will provide affected ticket holders with a replacement credit or refund, as applicable. We are not responsible for transportation, lodging, parking, childcare, lost wages, or other expenses incurred in connection with an event.

9. Privacy

We use registration and event information to process purchases, administer events, communicate with participants, record selections, deliver match results, prevent misuse, and operate our services. We share participant contact information with mutual matches as described above. We may also disclose information to service providers that help us operate the website or events, when required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.

Do not submit information you are not authorized to provide. Your use of the website is also subject to any separate Privacy Policy posted on ChicagoFirstDates.com.

10. Health, Safety, and Venue Rules

Attending an in-person gathering involves ordinary risks associated with public places and interaction with other people, including exposure to communicable illness. By attending, you acknowledge those risks and agree to follow reasonable safety instructions issued by Chicago First Dates or the venue.

Each venue may enforce its own rules concerning identification, age, dress, food and beverage service, accessibility, conduct, and entry. A venue's decision to refuse service or remove a person does not make Chicago First Dates responsible for that decision.

11. Competing Businesses and Commercial Activity

Our events are intended for individuals genuinely participating as singles, not for representatives of competing event, dating, or matchmaking businesses gathering nonpublic information for commercial use. We may deny admission to or remove anyone attending for unauthorized solicitation, recruitment, copying of event materials or methods, covert recording, or collection of participant information.

12. Website and Event Materials

The text, branding, graphics, photographs, event descriptions, forms, software, and other original material appearing on ChicagoFirstDates.com or supplied at our events are owned by or licensed to Chicago First Dates and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use the website only for personal, lawful purposes. Without written permission, you may not reproduce substantial portions of our content, publish our proprietary materials, scrape or harvest participant information, interfere with the website, evade access controls, or use our content to operate or promote a competing service.

13. Feedback and Public Reviews

We encourage participants to contact us directly if a problem occurs so that we have an opportunity to investigate and respond. Nothing in these terms prevents you from giving an honest review or expressing a truthful opinion about your experience.

This provision does not authorize anyone to publish statements they know are false, disclose another person's private or confidential information, impersonate someone else, threaten or harass others, infringe intellectual-property rights, or publish content that is otherwise unlawful. Chicago First Dates retains all remedies available under applicable law for such conduct.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, events, introductions, match results, and related services are provided on an “as available” basis. We disclaim implied warranties concerning merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, compatibility, attendance levels, and results. Nothing in these terms limits a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chicago First Dates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the website, an event, a participant, a venue, a match, or any later interaction between attendees.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Chicago First Dates for a claim connected with a particular event will not exceed the amount you paid for your ticket to that event. These limitations do not apply to liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on ChicagoFirstDates.com with a new “Last updated” date. Changes apply prospectively. The terms presented when you purchase a ticket will govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or you agree to the revised terms.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that may properly be brought in court must be filed in a court of competent jurisdiction in Cook County, Illinois, except where applicable law gives a consumer the right to proceed elsewhere.

18. Severability and No Waiver

If any part of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining terms will continue in effect. A failure by Chicago First Dates to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the event listing, checkout terms, and any Privacy Policy posted on ChicagoFirstDates.com, constitute the agreement between you and Chicago First Dates concerning your use of the website and participation in an event.

20. Contact Us

Questions, cancellation requests, and other notices concerning these terms should be submitted through the contact information published on ChicagoFirstDates.com.
